So, yes, Pelini is probably gone. Im not one to be afraid of foul language. I understand how easy it can be to let loose when under pressure. I also understand the frustration with a bad call in the middle of a game. There have been a handful of those that may have easily changed the course of the season for the Cornhuskers. However, I think we can all say that if a person is getting paid in excess of a million dollars to coach a team that that person should probably calm down sometimes. You can argue that passion is motivating for players only so far. If that passion costs you 15 yards AND a possible FCC fine, I dont see it being part of the process of winning games. He took a swing at a ref. Whether or not he meant to hit the guy is unimportant. Sure, maybe itll be a problem finding somebody to replace him. But Pelini really hasnt made a very good case for himself. Yes, its frustrating, Bo. We get that. Yes, we understand the fans can be fickle. We get that too. The fans didnt cost you this game. Bad play calling and a 15 yard personal foul cost you this game, as much as anything. Also, so much for there are a ton of teams that would give anything for a 9 win season.
