So yesterday I had the incredible privilege of hearing my dear friend Larry Rader give his first Sunday talk. He did an amazing job...The talk was about a prophecy in Daniel that was given to King Nebuchadnezzar in a dream about an image. The image is spoken about in Daniel chapter 2. Daniel was able to not only tell the king what the dream was but he was able to interpret the dream as well with Jehovahs help. The image is made of different materials..A head of gold, its breast and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of copper, its legs of iron, and its feet of iron and molded clay. The image which is massive and extraordinary to behold is then destroyed by a stone cut, not by human hands, from a mountain. Daniel goes on the explain that each of these parts represent a different kingdom...starting at the head of gold which was the Kings time of rulership. Each section represents a different world power...leading down to our time...The feet of iron and clay..The Anglo-American world power. The prophecy is of Jehovah, who represents the mountain, destroying the image in our time...something we really need to take care to pay close attention to. The things to notice is he specifically says the stone was cut..not by humans...so God is not going to rise up a Man or any government run by man to destroy all the others. No, he goes on to say in Daniel 2 :44 And in those days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms and it itself will stand to times indefinite. He, Jehovah God will destroy the governments run by man...man has only dominated man...And Satan is the ruler of these governments....why do you think he was able to offer them to Jesus when he wanted Jesus to do an act of worship to him?? (Matthew 4 : 8,10 , 1 John 5: 19) So our future hope is not in man made governments..its in Gods Kingdom...The one we pray about. His Kingdom will right all the wrongs. .destroy those wicked and those destroying the earth. He will bring back his original purpose for the earth and those living on it will reside forever in paradise earth..filled with only those who bow to Jehovah sovereignty. Larrys talk was on a deep subject. .but he made it easy to understand and painted a mental picture of our future hope...I really appreciated it very much...good job Brother Rader!!! So glad I was there to hear it..and spend the day with you and Carol!!!
