So yesterday evening I was sitting down to do a half-hour phone - TopicsExpress

So yesterday evening I was sitting down to do a half-hour phone interview with Tom Tranchilla of 90.1 FM KPFT Houston (click on archive.kpft.org/mp3/kpft_140921_180000haam.mp3 to listen back to it!) in the green room (which was very green indeed -- photo to follow) before my gig at The Crimson Moon Cafe in Dahlonega, Georgia. While waiting for the phone to ring, I spotted a laminated magazine article sitting on the coffee table. Picked it up, started reading, and discovered that the Crimson Moons lovely owner, Dana Marie LaChance, is in fact a singer-songwriter herself -- the article described her serenading the audience from the stage and then leaping down to seat patrons and serve drinks! No surprise, then, that its such an atmospheric, musician-friendly place, with incredibly nice staff -- big thanks to Dana, Spencer, Whitney, Beth, Jonathan and Dione for making myself and Martin so welcome! Big thanks also to Dave Aton of WRFG 89.3 FM in Atlanta, Georgia for driving 40-odd miles to Dahlonega to get to last nights show, as hell be living it up in Paris when I make my second visit in two years to Steves Live Music in Sandy Springs, Georgia (just outside Atlanta) just over a week from now. It was such an honour to play the Crimson Moon, and I hope Dana will have me back sometime! Today we had a relatively easy drive to Nashville, Tennessee, made it to the invariably welcoming home of Kari Estrin Management a little over an hour ago, and are now frantically catching up with a few essential bits of admin so that we can enjoy a relaxed evening off in the company of Kari and our great friend Louise Mosrie (Louise Mosrie Fan Page), wholl be arriving for dinner very shortly, so Id better finish this post! Tomorrow night Ill be performing at Logan Street Sanctuary in Noblesville, Indiana, just outside Indianapolis, Indiana, and on Wednesday Ill be doing a house concert at the home of WEFT Community Radios Kevin Elliott in Urbana, Illinois.
