So yesterday was a little bit of a mess. Stated on the rules it said no frontal guillotine chokes. That sucked but ok. Then 5 minutes before the matches start they say, no guillotine from anywhere, no anacondas, no Darces, and no arm triangles. Wow ok. Evolve much? Then Tyler puts his opponent in a reverse triangle. Ref stops him and makes him let go. Then his opponent puts lock down on Tyler leg and the ref stops him and makes him let go. This is a travesty in the advance division I dont care how old they are. This is stuff these kids train every day. Anyway, Tyler came here for one opponent in particular and we couldnt make it happen so that sucked as well. Lucas was on weight and ready with no one is his division so in my eyes a champion regardless because he did exactly what he needed to do just by showing up. There were tons of kids walking up getting their gold medals for not competing at all. Lucas had the same choice but decided to move up to over 140 pounds and in to the 15 year old division where kids were 16 years old because of how they do the year you were born instead of the exact age you are. Anyway he made quick work of the first guy with an armbar from guard and then lost via triangle in the finals to a kid with legs that even I wouldnt want to get triangled with. Anyway shitty trip tournament wise and not near as much excitement winning this year like winning last year. BATTLE 4 THE AGES is clearly at the moment the Kids Worlds.
