So you say you are a Prophet and you have visions. Matthew, - TopicsExpress

So you say you are a Prophet and you have visions. Matthew, Mark, Luke, 1 John, Peter and Paul all warn us of false prophets. In the O.T. false prophets were to be stoned to death under Moses Laws. A false prophet is one whose testimonies lead people away from believing in Christ, or in leading Believers into erroneous behaviors or ideas. In the Revelaton of John (who was a genuine prophet) he said that the Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophesy. Paul said in 1 Corinthians that prophesy (the gift) would diminish to almost nothing. But anyone who is testifying about the reality of the Life, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is a prophet in the general sense, and in the last days there will arise Two Extraordinary Prophets who after demonstrating Gods power as Jesus had done will be assassinated and left exposed for unbelievers to mock at. (Does anyone want to be one of these prophets?) The Gift and mantle of prophesy is not to be sought for personal gain, but for witness to Jesus alone. Purported prophecies that are contrary to revealed scripture are false because they deviate from the revealed truth. The Great Commission says thet we who believe in Christ should be going about our ways every day making disciples of those who believe in Jesus by teaching them to be obedient to all that Jesus had to say (which for us is the New Testament of the New Covenant in His blood). Lets be the Fire, not play with the Fire. The path to Gods blessings is obedience to His Word.
