Soapbox: I am tired of all of you saying that immigrants are welfare recipients and take jobs. I work with them and they all have two full time jobs, take ESL classes and work at least 85 hours a week, no vacations, no benefits, no health insurance. They use community clinics which they pay out of pocket, they pay rent, bills, and THEY PAY TAXES WITH AN ITIN NUMBER. I have yet to see a citizen bust their asses like they do. All these lies and myths have been shoved at you by those Republican assholes to discriminate and demonize them. And I am talking not just Latinos but Asians and Eastern european immigrants too, as I am sure many other immigrants do. When they do get WIC, or SNAP, it is due to their children, who are AMERICAN CITIZENS and as such, are eligible for such things and they do not hace them for long, the new welfare laws are limited and in some states you only get it for the first year of a childs life. So why dont you actually get to know people and live in their shoes for once. Judgemental, ignorant and racist people. My angry response to all who keep saying the same stereotypical bullshit. Delete me if you want.
