The view on the subtropical forest "Mata Atlantica" of the ecological reserve of Tijuca is fabulous and the "Pedra da Gávea" rock that dominate the house is the major starting point for free flights (parapentes and delta wings) ... During the University semester it is an ideal place for studying and the home of master and doctorate students of the PUC University (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio) the majority of them foreigners from all nations of the world. During the university recess however, we are delighted to accommodate other visitors that are looking for a quiet place to stay at. There the tourist will find, contrary to an hotel or guest house, all what he needs to feel at home, using freely the kitchen to cook his own meals, the refrigerator and the shelves of the pantry to store the fresh food he can buy in nearby stores, and he can use, just like the students do, all the appliances and commodities of the house, dish washer, washing machine, microwave oven, Wi-Fi internet, swimming pool etc... There is a supermarket around the corner, taxis and omnibuses down the street, and the São Conrado Beach, that is also a nice surfing area, at a walking distance...
