Solange Speaks Out Solange Knowles has finally commented on that elevator fight with Jay Z last May. In an interview with Lucky magazine, she referred to the altercation with her brother-in-law as, that thing. What’s important is that my family and I are all good, she told the magazine. Beyonces sister added that her parents instilled a true family bond within her and her megastar sibling. We’ve always held each other down no matter what, she said. Video footage of the fight surfaced online a week after the May 5 incident allegedly took place, showing Solange kicking and punching Jay Z in an elevator in a New York City hotel after they all attended the annual Met Gala.
