Some feet/leg pains are the result of dancing on bad surfaces, - TopicsExpress

Some feet/leg pains are the result of dancing on bad surfaces, surfaces that are very sticky. Last summer our main recruiting place, the studenthouse in Copenhagen got a new floor and it is horribly sticky. Put down a rubbery sole and any twisting or sliding is impossible. Leather soles help a little, but they also wear out fast. Duct tape is a one dance if you twist, or one evening if you are careful. Balboa shuffling would be a one dance and then new duct tape. So I set out to find a better material and luckily one of my colleagues is a materials engineer, so he told me about Tribo Tape. I saw their intro video and asked him to get it. Unfortunately the sample he got was too small, so I had to wait 6 more months before he got enough for my shoes. It is totally worth it, the material is really slippery on this horrible floor. In the video I demonstrate sliding along the floor after a little run, but I have also tried Balboa shuffling and it works really well. I let 5 others try my shoes and they love it too. This material is waaaaay too slippery on some wooden floors, but that does not matter because for wooden floors we have leather soles. I recommend this material for dancing on non slippery surfaces, like rubber or linoleum floors. My gluing is not happy with the sharp edges between wooden planks, it rips the material lose, so also, stick to even surfaces. If you want to try out the material you can buy it here materialsampleshop/collections/polymer/products/self-lubricating-plastic-sheet I used a glue from Pattex to glue it to the rubbery sole of a pair of shoes.
