Some friends who have an awesome garden this year have supplied me with endless bags of tomatoes...garden, cherry, heirloom and peppers. Ive made several batches of salsa; used them in salads and now Ive just finished making a pot of homemade creamy chunky tomato soup...some for now and some to keep for winter...and my new venture ... homemade ketchup. YUM! .Theyve also given me a ton of apples from their Golden Delicious and Jonagold trees....Ive already made a big batch of apple butter....looks like Ill be making pies and applesauce next.....Love harvest time in the Rockies!!
