Some information: - Waukegan ranks #502 in the State for the salary they pay new teachers (How are we supposed to attract good teachers in our community if were all the way on the bottom?!) - Our Superintendent, Donaldo Batiste, gets $245,000 of our tax dollars each year. Higher than 73% of superintendents in Illinois... So hes on the top of the pay scale, but our teachers are on the bottom. - The average Illinois superintendent salary is $141,000. - The Chief School Business Officer at Lincoln Center, Jules Gaudin, makes $187,000 per year. Thats still more than the average superintendent and hes not even a superintendent! - Mary Lamping, Assistant Superintendent (because apparently one isnt enough) makes $184,000 per year. These are three of almost 200+ administrators and staff at Lincoln Center. Do you now wonder why they say they dont have enough to pay our teachers? Its because they all float it upwards to the people working in Lincoln Center... The people that dont even interact with our children on a daily basis. Is this insanity or what?
