Some information for people "looking forward" to obama care. There are "many" options for health insurance and while im sure it pisses you off as much as I do knowledge is power. So while your venting to yourself and the world about how more and more of our freedoms seem to be disappearing yake a look at these links. First is the primary site of the new health-care. Https://healthcare.gov Im sure you will love the young ladys fake smile as im sure she is wondering how many people are going to hate her as she has made herself the face of obama care. At this part of the site theres a few options for information along with a large green friendly button. You can go ahead and try it but it seems no matter what options you put in your going to get the same options which you can see below. First is Veterans Programs Https://healthcare.gov/if-im-a-military-veteran-what-do-i-need-to-know-about-the-marketplace/ Here is where the fun starts. So as a veteran you MAY be eligible for reduced costs on bealthcare and co pays depending on your income and number of people in your family. The income and family number brackets wont be revealed untill October 1st. Secondly you have 3 ways to "SAVE" Https://healthcare.gov/how-can-i-save-money-on-marketplace-coverage/ You "may" be able to lower costs on your monthly premiums when you enroll in a private health insurance plan. You may qualify for lower out of pocket costs for copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. The next part is one im sure the entirety of our nation is looking foward to. You or your child may get free or low cost coverage through Medicaid or CHIP Childrens Health Insurance Program. Some states are will be expanding Medicaid eligibility in 2014 making those who didnt qualify before be able to qualify now. Healthcare.gov link for CHIP Https://healthcare.gov/are-my-children-eligible-for-chip/#state=kansas A note about CHIP. CHIP provides "low cost" health coverage for children in families that make to much for medicaid qualification. In some states parents and pregnant women may qualify for CHIP. According to insurekidsnow.gov/chip/index.html the general rate to qualify for chip is 44,100/year for a family of 4. Thats actually not bad depending on what low cost actually means. I definately suggest visiting each of these sites and I apologize in advance if my links dont work or any spelling errors as I am typing this on a phone. You may have to copy and paste the links or just start at the main site. Once again the main site is healthcare.gov Please check out the information because while I do not agree with being forced to have coverage or being fined there are options in the new system. Unfortunately with the new increases in eligibility for free and low cost those of you who dont qualify will be paying more and more each year. So dont make to much money or you may find it taken by our so called leaders. -David Snyder PS: Please tag anyone you know that could used this information and pass it around.
