Some of you do yard sales and some use eBay for selling items. Check out etsy for selling your hand crafted or unique items. Just a thought, if you have a talent for sewing or baking or can do things that fill the gap left by the absence of mom and pop stores, and home crafts:there are free websites or blogs you can build, some with built In store fronts and some w store apps, (I just discovered etsy) so Im still checking it out. Coffee cup is a place you can design cups, shirts, pens and things to advertise (although with sites like wix you can also do that with an app store) I still think its easier to use coffee cup. Give your side business or start up 3-6 months to pick up (in the meantime, youll be offering to write about it on blogs as a guest, building your own blog (super easy with blogger) Dont bombard people with spam or mass mailings- websites have (build your own newsletter- you can edit and design it and set to go out bi monthly w updates) think big, start small, give it time (time you can use to make new items or get your ideas together) and good luck! There are all sorts of FREE websites. Blogs, mail boxes and such on line to get you started. If you arent tech savvy pay a friend a flat fee to build it for you. Be ethical and state refund or returns policy on the site and dont argue w customers always be professional when responding to any- feedback. There are tons of helpful articles and free advice on line about the best work fr home businesses and start ups or where to sell things. (Amazon also has a way to set up your own store)
