Some of you may know that my wife Robin DiAngelo has written and co-written a couple of books on social inequality. Despite receiving excellent reviews in several academic journals and despite the fact that it has been adopted as a textbook at colleges in the US and Canada... I guess it was only a matter of time before the angry white men took note. Sadly, some of the rageaholics in the Mens Rights sub-reddit took one of the illustrations in the book out of context, flipped out, and now they are vote-bombing her book on Amazon. Worse, they are now targeting her personal website, her staff profile at Westfield State, and are threatening a letter-writing campaign against her publisher. This is not the first time this has happened; we got all sorts of hate mail (including on *my* personal website) for Robins crime of simply being on the same panel as another scholar who they didnt like, several years back. It makes us all sad and angry and even a bit scared. Not sure what can be done about it, though... Your thoughts? And before my conservative friends chime in: Yeah, I know that libs can sometimes be mean, too.
