Some of you old enough to remember when Paul Reubens (a.k.a. Pee Wee Herman) was still considered a comic genius, may remember this iconic piece of pop culture and mad-movie history. It sold for a whopping $36,600.00 on ebay yesterday. A lot of folks also forget that Tim Burton designed and directed Pee Wees Big Adventure. You can definitely see the Burton hand on this one-of-a-kind bicycle. I really do miss some of the people Ive met and worked with over the past near-twenty years of being a professional performer, especially some of the Disney and Warner Bros. folks. Good people. I had the honour of working briefly with Paul Ruebens in a voice studio a few years ago (well, over 10 now), and he was wonderful. It surprises me that the seller didnt appear to reach out to Mike Wolf (American Pickers) who is very well known for his bicycle collection.
