Some of you who read this site regularly may recall my exchange with a woman who is married to a scientist. The topic of the exchange(Even though she was adamant about changing the subject!) was Haeckel’s drawings and how textbooks have used these knowingly fake drawings to support the idea of universal common descent. She claimed that these drawings are no longer being used and when they are they are used in a historical context. Well, turns out, she was wrong. In fact, Casey Luskin from the Discovery Institute has located more recent drawings then even I was aware of. I thought the last time the drawings were printed in textbooks was 2004. But no, there are more recent examples from textbooks from 2010 and 2011.
