Some part of the amendment bill criminalizes harboring knowledge of a criminal and failing to report the same. Get this right, it is not talking about terrorists but criminals, so if you are from let’s say Kiambu and you have a brother who is a thief and the family fails to report then your parents and all of you in that home can be arrested and prosecuted for failing to report that there is a criminal amongst you. For now it is Uhuru who is the president and you find this far-fetched, but what happens next time let’s say Raila or even Ruto takes over the presidency and he wants to apply this law to the letter? Mark you there are more Kenyans who die every day of ordinary crime in this country than those who die of terrorist attacks and this bill is supposed to take care of security in total.
