Some people have asked me on occasion how I am able to come up with the things that I write or that I may say in speaking publicly. The short answer is "inspiration." I find that the older I become, the more inspired I sometimes feel to write or speak about certain matters. I suppose that there is at least an ounce of truth in the cliche that hindsight is 20/20. And so that leads into the longer version of the answer, and that is 54 years of life have taught me many valuable life lessons, and I feel that I would be remiss if I continued on my pilgrim journey through life and never imparted some of the lessons that I have learned. I am not so naive as to think that everyone will want to read or listen to everything or anything that I have to say, but I do feel that part of my calling in this life is to be a clarion voice to the people. I further realize, and humbly apologize in advance, that some of my thoughts may ruffle a few feathers here and there. It is never my intention to cause disharmony or disdain among my brothers and sisters, but again I would feel remiss and explicably dishonest if I did not tell the truth regarding certain matters. I humbly submit that one of the main problems that plague our world at this hour is that there are too many people who are afraid to tell the truth. They believe in sugar coating everything, and making the world appear as though all things are seen through rose colored glasses. They incessantly purport to tell at least "half of the truth", but in my humble estimation, a "half truth" is often a great deception - a sheep in wolves clothing as it were - and if care is not taken in expressing that "half truth" it is soon exposed for the whole lie that it really is. Therefore, I feel a great urgency to tell it like it really is - to keep it real! And so, again, if I have offended anyone along the way, for that I apologize, but I will never apologize to anyone for speaking the truth. Truth is truth.
