Some people think because I keep sharing my thoughts on love, - TopicsExpress

Some people think because I keep sharing my thoughts on love, understanding, forgiveness, respectful communication, obeying the law and against illegal demonstration methods MAY mean: 1. I dont care enough about the security and economic implications of the trade agreements for the future of Taiwan. 2. I dont care enough about the dictatorship in Taiwan. 3. I dont care enough about how the police mistreated the demonstrators at 行政院. 4. I dont care enough about the peoples anger, and their good reasons for being angry. Just to clarify few things: 1. Yes, I really care about our countrys trade agreements with China, but just that I am NOT AN EXPERT on the security, business, economics and politics of TW, and even less of China. But I am not sure if everybody can understand or have the backgrounds just to appreciate the COMPLEXITY of the situation either (even if they have read some PPTs, articles and watched some short youtube videos). For me personally, I prefer to leave this to REAL EXPERTS, and I dont want to support or disagree with things I DONT REALLY UNDERSTAND. When I dont understand, I PRAY for people who do REALLY UNDERSTAND, and have the AUTHORITY or BACKGROUND to do something about it. 2. Yes, I really care about the bad ways of passing the trade agreement in our congress, but I am NOT AN EXPERT on the laws and policies of Taiwan and how our Congress should operate. Plus, I know the following: A. Anything to do with Taiwan-China relationships are fought over by people with much fear, and this fear MAY or MAY NOT be justified. But I know that UNJUSTIFIED fear will push us towards an un-optimized solution, and greatly damage our economic and competitiveness vs rest of the world. B. Any wide ranging economic policy is fought over by many people/groups with many different agenda and interests, and to ensure we have the best people to represent our interests, WE VOTED THESE PEOPLE IN. We should PRAY for those in the congress, so that they can make a WISE decision for us, NOT just blame them when something goes wrong. We as the people should shoulder parts of the blame. 3. Yes, I really care about the possibility of dictatorship in Taiwan, but last time I checked, President Ma was VOTED DEMOCRATICALLY for a term of 4 years in office. I heard many people said President Chen (A Bian) was a dictator, and I now hear many people say President Ma is a dictator. Just because somebody do a bad job as a president, DOESNT MAKE HIM A DICTATOR. If anything, I think instead of laying all the blame our president, I think we should have PRAYED A LOT for him in the past 6 years, so he can have MORE WISDOM and CAPABILITIES to lead us! 4. Yes, I really care how the police mistreated the students at 行政院. I realized the situation was VERY DANGEROUS that night, and that was why I WAS THERE (at both inside and outside of 行政院), PRAYING for the VIOLENCE, STRUGGLES and ANGER to be REDUCED! I hope the illegal demonstration NEVER HAPPENS at such CRITICALLY IMPORTANT place like 行政院. The students WILLINGLY put themselves in such a DANGEROUS situation, and MANY WOULD NOT LEAVE when WARNED MULTIPLE TIMES of the possibility of getting hurt. They basically set themselves up to be mishandled by bad cops. I sincerely hope and pray all the BAD COPs are ARRESTED. I also sincerely hope and pray all the students who broke into 行政院, shouted many obscene things at the police realize how much PAINS they have put the ENTIRE NATION under. 5. Yes, I really care about the peoples anger, and their good reasons for being angry. But ANGER and say DISRESPECTFUL things at each other DOES NOT provide the solution to our nations CRISIS. If anything it makes our crisis WORSE. The only way to move forward is to COMMUNICATE RESPECTFULLY, learn to LOVE, LISTEN, UNDERSTAND and FORGIVE! We need to EMBRACE our DIFFERENCES, and BUILD EACH OTHERS UP with speeches that will BENEFIT those who listen! And MOST IMPORTANTLY the best thing we can do is to PRAY HARD for our government officials that they can figure out the best solution to this SUPER COMPLEX political, economic, social problem! Ephesians 4:25 - Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold. 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
