Some quick observations from my Germany trip: 1) Took some train rides to get to my clients. Lots of countryside. Lots of horses. Lots of houses with solar panels on their rooftops. Very big into renewable energy sources. 2) Lots of graffiti in every train station. Lots of people wearing canvas Chuckie Ts (Chuck Taylor sneakers, for those who are in the know). Nice to see that 1950s era footwear is alive and well in Germany. 3) Driver taking me to a suburb of Nuremburg got his taxi up to a bit over 120 mph on the autobahn. Smooth ride at that speed, but I did check my seatbelt just to make sure. 4) They are not happy with our spying. Dominated the news the entire time I was there. 5) Ran into 4 BoSox fans while in country. We do tend to wear our allegiance outwardly. 6) Lots of tree stands in the country. Apparently, the farmers hunt too. Dont know what kind of game they are after. 7) The beer is great, the wheat beer in particular. Would recommend the Augustiner in Munich. Ill probably be heading back over to Germany in the spring. Have the BMW museum, the Deutches Museum, and the Mercedes Museum on my to do lists.
