Some things can never be unseen. Ever. But you just cope and move along. Like this guy, I chose my job and many, many days I feel like my job chose me. I dont have sleep issues, like him. But there are experiences that I will never be able to express. Is my job horrible? No. Theres nothing like knowing (wether they tell you or not) that you made a difference in someones life. Sometimes, all someone needs is a sympathetic ear. Maybe they just need their hand held, while they die. Whatever it may be, I do what I have been called to do. I treat each patient with compassion....even when theyre being mean to me....because I have come while their life is turned upside down. That is the realm of public safety. That is my job...
