**Some thoughts for Tuesday** Today, Ive finally decided Im ordering a bunch of personal prints. You know, I have THOUSANDS of photos of my family, and only about a dozen 4x6 photos of them. As a mom, I cant be having that! As a photographer, shame on me! All of those precious photos, just sitting around on my hard drive. Do I get a chance to see them unless Im wandering around looking for something specific? Nope. Im vowing to change that. These photos mean more to me than the file space theyve become! How do you feel about your digital photos? Are you perfectly happy with them sitting around on your computer, or would you rather have them displayed in your home? In todays technology-obsessed world, I think the simple things that used to be cherished have been buried. Photos have become a way to show the internet world what youve been doing lately. What food you ate, what makeup youre wearing, your favorite outfit that you got an awesome deal on. Where am I going with this? I think...I would like to challenge everyone to take LESS photos. To really think about the quality of the moments, not the quantity of photos. And once you have something special on that memory card, PRINT it out. Have that moment openly displayed in your home, dont doom it to be buried in a folder on your computer! This has been a random Shelbys soapbox announcement. ;)
