Some time ago, I heard talking about training interpreters for working in conflict zones...Now I came across this article about a petition for the Afghan interpreters for Spanish troops to be offered asylum in Spain now that the Spanish troops were withdrawn from Afghanistan. It seems only fair to protect people who risked their lives by working together with the military forces and not abandon them there where they face harsh persecutions from the Taliban...The soldiers were the first ones to sign this petition, but it seems that politicians are not that easy to convince...
