Some time ago I shared my experience from a morning at Chick-fil-A - TopicsExpress

Some time ago I shared my experience from a morning at Chick-fil-A and how a gentleman and his son helped Kevin & me out in a time of need. The man shared his story of hard times for him & his son darkened by homelessness, hunger, unemployment and heartache. How their relentless, undying faith had carried them through to the life of abundance he lives today, which he could not have possibly imagined then. He told us that by helping us, it was just one of many opportunities to pay it forward. At that moment, Kevin & I knew this was a sure sign, that we were on the right track and with our new found faith, things were going to be even more than just okay. Now, as we continue to see the many awesome blessings that unfold daily... it is upon us to pay it forward This morning as I was walking in to Chick-fil-A I saw a man with a small child (4yrs) and a tiny one in a carrier. The man had looked very distraught like he had been teary eyed. When I asked if he was okay it was as if the the worn out dam that had been holding back his troubles broke. He was trying to feed his child and didnt have enough. Turns out his wife left him due to her addiction & could have nothing to do with the kids, (ripple effect) he couldnt afford a baby sitter which caused him to lose his job. ..etc. I could feel his desperation & sense his feeling of defeat. He didnt want money or anything for himself, only his child. I asked him to hold tight for a minute. Got food for the older boy & him. Returned with the food, a little cash for formula. I shared with him some of the rough times we had been through and how life was these days. Then, I said a quick prayer for them and as I opened my eyes back, the little boy was grinning from ear to ear! He said misses, can it be my turn now? Will God hear me too? Wow.... of course he will little man! So he prayed next. Please keep this family in your prayers. Im sure God is smiling on them today, that he will care for them (his children) and will allow this man the means to help care for his children just the same. Thanks God for letting me be a light in the world!
