Some young peeps have voiced themselves saying “Im not afraid” or “this doesn’t scare me”,,, you know the brave Im immortal stance. Well my postings on this world event isn’t to frighten or cause you fear its to get you to pull your heads out of the sand. This is effecting all of us. Everyone of you out in the world. We have left this country and these people to die in a horrific way. We knew what we needed to do in order to stop this epidemic but we callously wasted time. And time is the enemy in this fight. “The virus is actually picking up the pace. Even as we add resources, we get farther behind.” “The virus is moving on virus time; we’re moving on bureaucracy or program time,” you need to post and re-post this, tagging Local, State and Federal representatives so that action can be sped up. The world needs to move more quickly. “So we had two exports in the first 2,000 patients,” Frieden said in a recent interview. “Now we’re going to have 20,000 cases, how many exports are we going to have?” What this means people is that Ebola will come to every part of the world, it will find a way and will continue to kill and spread. The more it spreads the higher the probability rate climbs for mutation. The window has closed and if the region isn’t closed off in a 100% level of security to allow doctors and care workers to save lives while the Ebola Virus burns out this is going to be biblical as I have said. Gerardo Chowell, a mathematical epidemiologist at Arizona State University, used data compiled through the end of August to estimate the reproduction number of 1.5 to two for this Ebola epidemic. Chowell said that even modest gains in lowering that number could give health officials and the military a better chance of controlling the epidemic. “Maybe we can bring it from two to 1.2 or 1.3, which would indicate that the number of new cases will be dramatically reduced, and that will give you time,” he said. MAYBE,,, I don’t think Ebola will be defeated on a Maybe. When I did the math on this at a reproduction rate of 1.5 it concludes that 600,000 will be dead and dieing from Ebola in January 2015, this is what should be frightening everyone. The aid sent by the United States wont be in place until mid to late November, so this could also raise the reproduction rate. Everyday we wait causes us to fall behind by three, the day lost, the day to catch up and the day to become even. In the beginning this meant maybe 200 infected by the come even day, now as it progressively worsens, we are looking at 20,000. The current assumption is that for every four known Ebola cases, about six more go untreated. Again this is the part that should frighten the stuffing out of all of the world. Every projection of the worse case scenario does not factor this in. Tag your government representatives and demand we stop playing Russian roulette with Ebola and fight it with the intent to win and kill it before it kills us.
