Staus update: If youve been worrying about me, I had to move out yesterday and had found no where local to stay, so Im up in Forster with my good friend Belinda Bouras. Ive been destressing, slept much of the day on her lovely latex mattress and been supported and cared for so I can shed the stench of desperation and regather my energies to keep looking for somewhere to finish this book of mine. If I can get it all completed and submitted, get it onto a publishers desk, it might, just might be the gamechanger for where and how I can live. A friend has an aged relative in Wollongong with furnished accommodation for someone to be a friendly presence and she is seeing him on Sunday. I was so happy to be home, on the beaches and amongst my friends. This will take me into another form of social isolation and not where I want to be, but it will give a quiet, comfortable space to let me get the book finished. So if nothing else turns up before I get news on this Ill take it if it is offered.
