Somebody has been procrastinating…which is why the 2014 Year End Schmidt Adoption Update is coming out 1/24th of the way into 2015. In our defense, we sensed that this update might be somewhat tricky to write, as absolutely nothing has changed. We are now slightly over two years into the process; we continue (based on our agency’s projected wait times) to hope for a referral by July of 2015, but since we have now more than outstripped the gestation period of an elephant, we’re hardly counting on it. That would be silly… We do confess that after 4 ½ years, Schmidt morale might be just a bit low (got any prayers to spare???). Maybe for whatever reason yours is too. If so, here’s a song to cheer you up. I (Kit) discovered it last fall when I was training for a ½ marathon and proceeded to listen to it about as frequently as the radio played “My Heart Will Go On” back in 1997.
