Someone on the liberty.me forums just said if it were a snake, it would have bit me. I love that phrase so much! I recall that my great Aunt said that when I was very young, maybe 7 years old. She couldnt find her glasses. Then she noticed that they were on her head. She said if it were a snake, it would have bit me. I was so startled by this! I suddenly had an image of a snake on her head, and how she would have been unaware of it. Its no wonder she was chastising herself! Then I wondered if we should all be constantly aware of the possibility that there might be a snake on our heads, and that if were are unaware of this, such a snake would certainly bite us because we would fail to act quickly enough to get rid of it. In the end, I hoped that instead of a snake on my head, I would only find glasses but I didnt wear glasses, so that worried me too. This whole prospect consumed me for many days.
