Someone once asked Mother Theresa, How can I be like you? Her simple response, Find your own Calcutta. Here at FT Bliss, myself members of the unit I am blessed and honored to serve, 1AD DIVARTY, Iron Steel, have found our Calcutta at a homeless shelter near the border. When serving others, when drawn out of the self, resilience is strengthened and relationships formed, Christ is served in the form of the neighbor/other. Lord of life, responding to your grace, fed in Word and around your table, move the Church OUT. Focus your people on discipleship, NOT simply membership, lead us not just to go to Church but in responsive, grace-filled, joy-filled, Holy Spirit saturated lives, forgiven of sin--call us to share and model the sweetness of the Gospel--to BE church.
