Someone said this and Isaid hhmmnn: WORD Today 11/08/14 Phil 4:10-19 Lk 16:9-15 I rejoice greatly in the Lord! exclaims St. Paul in the First Reading. He rejoices that the Christians in Philippi are rich in the virtue of charity, of sharing what is received, responding to Gods generosity by passing it on. When we ask for help from the Lord, He does not drop it from the sky. It arrives via a circuit of charity among His people. Gods divine providence works like the unseen but all-encompassing circuit of wires inside the walls, ceiling and flooring of His household. For the whole house to light up, each section of the circuit must perform its part. Otherwise God will condemn it and install a jump wire to move His blessings along, bypassing the useless section. Christian life is not about doing something for the Lord, but responding in love and thanksgiving to the One Who loved us first. May you burn bright today and make the Lord rejoice.
