Someone very special to me reminded me of how amazing my life was - TopicsExpress

Someone very special to me reminded me of how amazing my life was growing up, thank you Lillian Gonzales. Growing up with the most incredible people to call my family, a second family for me. I miss my Grandma Persall(Momo) so much, it hurts! Every time I drive down that long street to see my grandmothers house, a flood of memories start coming back. I drove there today. The tree on the side of her house where I climbed so high with my cousins, Amanda, Valerie and the gang. She would stand on the back porch and call our names when it was time for lunch, Zandrita and Michele Ann! I love that. I miss the attic that we made space to hangout in. I wonder if she ever found out we bent the hanging rod by using it as a step to get through. The front porch seems smaller now! Thats where I sat with Christina, Amanda and Valerie and ate Kool-Aid with salt and pickles. Just put the salt in the kool-aid packet and shake, then add it to the pickle. My favorite was orange. Friday night videos was a blast in the 80s with my girls. And, playing kick the can on summer days couldnt have been more fun with yall. I really love yall. Remember the old swimming pool where we would swim for a dollar? The trail we made all the way to Sonic and the convenient store. The fence still has boards missing, I saw it today! Growing up with really amazing role models Anna Moya Amador and Laurie Perez; you both showed us what fashion was about! The Sonic and convenient store is closed now and the swimming pool is filled in. My grandmas house is painted yellow and it seems smaller now. I cried as I drove away. I cried the entire way home. I love you all so very much!
