Something Ive been working on. __________________________________________________________ The outlaw Augosto Noriega de Santa, 1893-1918 Born to a wealthy orchard estate in Caracas, Venezuela, the second largest city in the Republic of Gran Colombia, Noriega, as he commonly went by, was recruited into the Gran Colombia Airship Armada when his familys orchard suffered a blight and could no longer afford to buy his way out of conscripted service. The Armada was dispatched to the Philipines in conjunction with United States forces to help quell the re-surged Moro Rebellion in 1911, funded by the Meiji Japanese Empire. Noriega soon found himself assigned to a series of Q-Ships, battle ready airships disguised as merchant ships that would launch attacks on passing Meiji patrols. During his service, the Confederate States of America, re-organized in an occupied Eastern South America, went to war with Gran Colombia over control of Bolivia, a war in which the United States took no part due to existing treaties with the Confederados. Noriega and many of his crewmates were enraged at his betrayal and launched a coup, taking control of theirs and several other Q-Ships and going into business with the Meiji and Moros. Soon he and his crew saved enough money from jobs for the Meiji that they were able to purchase arms and an airship dreadnought from them. They christened her the Juarmentado and returned to the Americas in 1913 with a crew of Gran Colombians, Moros, Japanese, and outlaw Europeans and Americans. __________________________________________________________ More to come?
