Something appropriate for our days, sadly. The text is based on Sirach 36:18 and the verses on Psalm 122. Da pacem, Domine, in diebus nostris Quia non est alius Qui pugnet pro nobis Nisi tu Deus noster. (Give peace, O Lord, in our days For there is no other Who fights for us, No one but You, our God) 1. Fiat pax in virtute tua: et abundantia in turribus tuis. (Let there be peace in Your strength, and abundance in Your towers) 2. Propter fratres meos et proximos meos loquebar pacem de te: (For the sake of my brethren and those close to me, I wish you peace) 3. Propter domum Domini Dei nostri quaesivi bona tibi. (For the sake of the House of the Lord Our God, I will ask for your good) 4. Rogate quae ad pacem sunt Jerusalem:et abundantia diligentibus te. (Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and abundance to those who love you) 5. Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto, sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. (Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, age unto ages. Amen.)
