Something has happened to common sense. With regret, I am almost positive that in too many areas of daily function in our lives, it is absent, not present. This conclusion has been reached with a great deal of thought and contemplation, but, it is a conclusion, notwithstanding. My career requires me to travel by plane 99% of the time. Increasingly, I am shocked, amazed and yes, even frustrated that so many people are walking down the terminal corridors, on to the trains connecting one terminal to another in Atlanta, retrieving their bags at baggage claim, and then, outside as they wait for a ride or cross the street to head to their own vehicle, totally consumed with their electronic devices. They dont know or care that they are running into other people, missing the train and their own luggage as it goes around on the turn style and, most significantly, being nearly removed from the face of the earth by the car or truck that almost hit them, because they found their text message or catching up on their mail more important than navigation from point A to B, with a sense if purpose and concern. Again, it is called COMMON SENSE. Erbody (!!!) do yourself a favor, pay attention to your surroundings. The life you save, may be your own.
