Something thats always seemed a little weird to me. See a night full of bands, all of which bring their own equipment with them, pay $8-30. See a single comedian, needs no equipment, virtually no setup time. $40-70. I love going to concerts, seeing comedians, and going to plays, but comedians are often the most expensive of the bunch. Which is unfortunate, because I have to miss so many great standup acts that way. And when they cancel, like what happened when I bought Cosby tickets, you end up paying more for the convenience fees than you would if you did one of those other events.
