Sometimes I become surprised to see that how a person is being - TopicsExpress

Sometimes I become surprised to see that how a person is being convicted or even being hanged in Bangladesh despite so many vivid controversies. Already serious debate has been erupted centering the execution of Abdul Quader Molla. His defence repeatedly claimed that, he is not that butcher Quader who was the actual mastermind of Mirpur oriented atrocities. I hoped and expected that, following such debates, the apex court would be more concern this time about avoiding such debates. But they overlooked my thoughts and rejected the petition of both sides in the last day of appeal hearing in Allama Sayedees case. Are they not interested to dismiss a case keeping it beyond controversy? What would hamper them if they call the 1972s case documents for record to ensure that who had killed Ibrahim Kutti actually? Such a simple move may linger the execution of Maulaba Sayedee a bit more. But that will certainly dissolve the defence claim of his innocence or the Attorney Generals blame that defence had made a forgery by creating these false documents... Why the apex court like controversies....why??? -Ali Ahmad Mabrur
