Sometimes I consider the nature of probability and its variables. - TopicsExpress

Sometimes I consider the nature of probability and its variables. I live in a city whose greater metropolitan area is nearly 2 million people. Yet I meet people all the time by chance that I know or used to know. It happens so frequently that when you consider the odds it is really quite astounding. Coincidence? Glitch in the matrix? Time to reboot the server on this reality? I dont know. It reminds me of the karass ( A group of people linked in a cosmically significant manner, even when superficial linkages are not evident) of the beautifully made up religion of Bokonism from the Kurt Vonnegut novel Cats Cradle. (The religion of Bokonism states openly that it is outright lies from beginning to end!) Nothing in this universe makes one damn bit of sense, which is, I guess, the whole point of Vonneguts novel. See the Cat? See the Cradle? ;)
