Sometimes, I wish individuals would not look at God as a genie, a good buddy, their co-pilot, or a upstanding moral code. God is King. Bigger than any Monarch or President. More powerful than a person, nuke, or any other strong power in this universe. God is our Creator. He is One who has SOLE authority over everything. Who has made and is sovereign over all that He has made. God is Judge. He has the right to either condemn or to save. He is the obtainer, keeper, and giver of absolute Truth in which no other exists. He is the only One who has the right to show what is truly sin and what is truly righteous. He is worthy of our complete reverence, devotion, loyalty, and complete willingness to let Him be our identity, Source, and controller of our lives. He is not Someone to make our lives better, but is Someone to have a new life within every moment of every day. Should we die, we die by faith. Should we live, we live by faith. Should we experience financial distress, we do so in faith in Him. Should we have health issues, we give it over to Him by faith. We seek Him, but we do not demand anything. We ask, we seek, we give, we receive His grace, we love, we honor, we fear, we humble ourselves, and we thank Him for who He is despite any misgivings we may have in this earthly life. Our trust, hope, faith, confidence, truth, and our very sanity lies in Him. May we trust in Him and be real men and women of faith, seeing Him for who He really is in His life and in His world.
