Sometimes, change is good! 6 years ago we were told that a move to Minneapolis was in our future. It was that or be unemployed! We decided we would rather be cold and eat, than warm and unemployed! You all know how we love to eat! So we left all our friends behind, and off we went to Minneapolis with a big smile on our faces, and a top 10 list of why it was going to be fabulous living there….#1 reason…no poisonous snakes! Minneapolis is lovely….if a bit chilly! Years later, we find ourselves with Jim working in Boston, and only able to come home 1 week per month. Yup…only home 5 weeks since Jan 1st! Our Kayaks have not even seen the water yet this year! So, Jim made the decision that is was better to actually have a life, than to figure out how to pay for one! So on June 2, he resigned from Advance Auto Parts/A I, effective June 12. The powers that be asked him not to announce it to anyone until today. He will stay for 9 more weeks as a consultant, bridging the gap until they find a replacement. But by the end of the summer, life will be good! Where we will go and what we will do is a complete unkown! Anyone need a couple of Walmart greeters near them??
