Sometimes it is easy to forget that the rescuers/activists need things other than dog/cat food, help with Vets bills etc. Sometimes they need help for themselves. It could be the need for a decent camera to document rescues or pleas, assistance on their broken and old computers, car repairs to enable them to rescue and feed strays.or even help for their *own* animals. Jelena Paunovics name is not always on our pages, but she is always behind-the-scenes working hard. She uncovered the atrocities at the Hresa Shelter and documented them, leading to petitions and action. She worked out in the towns during the May floods, she delivered donated food to many poor shelters, continues to fight off the dog-catchers at night and is instrumental in Sarajevo animal-rights activism. Now, she needs some help for herself. Can we help her? In order to sell her very modest apartment, she has to put her beloved cats in temporary pension, so that the prospective buyers do not think it is a farm.
