Sometimes lessons come from unexpected places, and students teach - TopicsExpress

Sometimes lessons come from unexpected places, and students teach and inspire teachers. And Rhode Island author and former editor-in-chief of TreeHugger, Discovery Channel online, and TLCs Parentables thinks so too. Polk County native Elizabeth and her 2007 Polk High senior project is still moving the Warhorse forward. Plus, support and testing from Lyndsey and Patti at Red Oak Farms, Shane and Holly at Mountain View Barbecue, Bonnie Brae Veterinarian Hospital & Grooming DVMs Angel Mitchell and Ian Fitch, Tryon Equines DVM Rich Metcalf, John Vining with Polk Co. Ag. Extension, and Bill Yarborough with the NC. Dept of Agricultures have helped us too. Although I miss working elbow to elbow with a sea of students, I am glad to say Warhorse has picked up some momentum, all spurred from Polk County and western North Carolina pastures. We move slowly but with solid footing, and are grateful this is Warhorses home.
