Sometimes, modesty, especially in this medium can be checked at the cloakroom door cos actually it really is all about our wee dogs! Happy seventh Birthday Schooner, Danny, Dazzler and Fleck ...there is another sibling out there ....Rum .. who, though Im told is very talented, lives in contented anonymity in a loving pet home. We also remember Uzuri with great fondness. In 2009, as two year olds, the four came together in Roy, Washington, all of them finishing in the top ten. Im not sure if four litter mates in a Nationals top ten has ever been equalled or bested, and if these guys could talk Im sure they would say, Thank you David and Leslie (Schooner), thank you Adrienne (Danny) for your love, stewardship and guidance, its been a slice. Yvonne and I are so very proud of their exploits on and off the race track, and have shared vicariously in their ups and downs, it is not necessary to win all the time to be members of a winning team!
