Sometimes...ok, oftentimes...I worry about things and try to figure out how *I* can fix this or that and the other thing that comes at me in life. Too often Im thinking on lifes problems and not enough on God and all he has done for me. Wherever my focus is....thats where my mind and heart is. Bad things happen...all. the. time. Its never ending! Somewhere in myself, I think I really believe that bad will end if I get more money or have the perfect life, etc, etc, etc. I know better, but my actions dont really show it! I still strive for perfection. I still pray for more money and we work hard to provide for our family. I really need to work on choosing to look to God instead of relying on my own strength to get through life. Rely on God, be content, be thankful, think on good things when it seems the bad in life is consuming me....these are the things God has been speaking to me about lately. My prayer is that I will trust and lean on Him more! Psalm 46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. 6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
