Sometimes things in life become just too complicated. We schedule, we plan, some make lists and more lists and even lists of lists. It takes computers and Smart phones to control our daily lives - how did man ever make it to the 21st century without the benefit of such complications??? It is with this thought that I really love this weeks photo from the Kauai Collection. This beach is 12 miles long and is located at the end of a 7 mile dirt road. (Dont tell the rental car company we went!!!) The perfectly clean sand was literally on the edge of being too hot to walk on in sandals but the emptiness and serenity continued to draw us towards the water. On the entire 12 mile expanse, there werent more than 4-5 people and they were at least 1/2 mile away. The idea that one can travel to such a popular vacation destination and encounter this kind of unpopulated and simple beauty is mind boggling. The simplistic lines and the incredible color and contrast make this one of my favorite shots. I hope you enjoy it too !
