Sometimes when Im sad or feeling conflicted I think my ideal therapist would be a future version of myself. You know, someone whos really been there. But then I imagine what would happen if a previous version of me showed up and kept going on and on about his problems, and how patronizing and belittling my responses would probably be. And I decide Im probably better off with someone who has just SORT OF experienced what Im going through.
