Sometimes when your career and life seems to be in the best - TopicsExpress

Sometimes when your career and life seems to be in the best possible position – your world caves in on you. This was the place in which PLUMB found herself a few short years ago. Immediately after completing her comeback album NEED YOU NOW, PLUMB found herself in an unthinkable position. Her marriage was on the brink of divorce, and she had to make a decision that would change the course of her family’s future. She chose to fight for her marriage and her family. Now two years later, PLUMB is telling her story not only in the upcoming book NEED YOU NOW. A STORY OF HOPE, but also through the release of a deluxe version of the NEED YOU NOW album. Both the book and the album will be in stores and available online in September. Already her biggest album to date, the title-track “NEED YOU NOW” was a #1 smash hit at radio and cemented her place as a multi-faceted musical force. Selling over 250,000 singles on iTunes, 100,000 certified spins on radio (Billboard #1 CHR for 5 weeks, #4 Hot Club/Dance Play, #3 AC/C, #1 AC/C in Canada), 750,000 Spotify plays and over 3 million views of the lyric and live videos on YouTube, NEED YOU NOW has merged formats and found acceptance in a variety of crossover genres. The deluxe version of the NEED YOU NOW album features 4 new songs that chronicle, in order, the story told in the NEED YOU NOW. A STORY OF HOPE book. Joining forces with longtime collaborator and producer, Matt Bronleewe, the album stays true sonically to their proven partnership. Launching with “Starting Over”, a song sure to be a staple in the EDM world, the song opens with the story of a relationship on the brink of ending. “Fall Back In” captures the darkness and desperation of trying to rebuild a broken marriage. Having only God to lean on, “Faithful” tells how she found love for her Heavenly Father in a new way, and in this process discovered how to better love her husband. In a final moment capturing the point where the book ends, the song “Lord, I’m Ready Now” is a reminder that God can redeem even the worst situations. The song and the book are living testament that there is always hope. Writing the book was a departure for PLUMB, challenging her to share her story on a deeper level to inspire others who may be in situations that seem helpless. The process of writing became another avenue to heal and see God’s hand guiding and protecting her family throughout the hardest times of their lives. PLUMB has never been an artist known to sugarcoat, giving an honest view of life while always showing the hope and light in every situation. The remainder of the songs on NEED YOU NOW are original stories of struggle of real-life people, stories of hope, loss and restoration. These songs have a universal appeal, even for the artist, who is often struck by songs written about others that end up feeling strangely autobiographical. “After recording the album,” says PLUMB, “I had to walk through real challenges of all sorts – health struggles, relationship struggles, spiritual struggles. But now, I can say with honestly of experience, there is always hope…” See PLUMB headlining the STORIES OF HOPE Fall Tour 2014, presented by Food for the Hungry with support from the Rhett Walker Band. JJ Weeks Band and David Dunn will each be on select dates as well.
