Sometimes you would wonder whether elections saves any purpose in Zimbabwe. When Mugabe admitted that he was defeated by Tsvangirai by 73% of the vote, whatever slip of the tongue explanation that is given today does not hold water. It is true to his admission that he was defeated by 73%. Everyone who was in Zimbabwe in June 2008 would understand the reaction of the regime that went on a spat of murder, kidnappings, maiming the innocent and cutting of peoples hands in Operation long sleeve or short sleeve. The despot was pained with such a humiliating defeat. Cooking of results that happened later was the only face saver available. Thats why I was the vicious opponent of the inclusive government because it was a bad lesson for Africa and the world that a loser becomes a winner and the winner becomes a junior partner in the arrangement. Those who lost should just have to go and give those who won an opportunity to govern unhindered. Getting into partnership with a thankless and deceitful charlatans like ZANU PF was going to be a recipe for disaster. But in politics we learn lessons and sometimes we learn them in a cruel way. This loser is still calling himself the president of Zimbabwe. Nxaaaaa. Mwari pindirai.
