Somewhere in the world somebody loves you more than memories you hold of someone who convinced you that you were no longer important... So very often people get stuck. Instead of looking forward they look backwards to a place more familiar because what lies ahead is uncertainty...and the fear of knowing is what keeps them running to the same people or situations they started to run away from and that to me is a dysfunction. The brain is a master of attachment and it has little resistance to excitement or rather the idea of, so the past becomes the easiest place to find that sort of comfort regardless of harsh treatment. Excitement is excitement, the same endorphins get released and what people dont realize is that you die over time. That bitterness turns into hurt, and that pain numbs your neurological responses and transforms worth into self hate and turns you into a battered being who hates everything about life Or even the idea of new people in their lives. Let me tell you something... Everything you do affects you. Anything you intake you become. People affect you, toxic relationships affect you...the worst crimes are done by ourself to ourselves! We allow bad circumstances to dictate the path of where we go next and often its to self destruction. Surround yourself with the right energy and grab the hand of someone who will walk alongside your hurt as a crutch but wont carry you unless youve healed internally that way, youll know youre strong to take on whatever life throws even if you have to literally crawl yourself back to life just dont get stuck in the mud or run back to where things were comfortable....the enemy is exactly where you left it!
