Sonny update: Thank you all so much for your kind wishes. Heidi, Kane, Isla and Sonny are back home again now hopefully to enjoy a big nights sleep. Sonnys full report of his Sleep Study wont be back for a week or two. Sonny struggled even more than usual when they air tested him for a couple of hours last night. He had a terrible loud wheeze and increased work of breathing last night. Sonnys respiratory team were contacted at 3am this morning and came to observe him. His oxygen was put back on as soon as this all started to happen. The doctors have also taken swabs to make sure Sonny isnt brewing some sort of infection. Since returning home, Dr Rob has called to confirm Sonny has two infections Picornavirus & Adenovirus. Fingers crossed he doesnt get any worse over the next few days. As the Sleep Study staff are not allowed to say too much until the full report has been looked over, the only answer Heidi and Kane received this morning was his Apnoea episodes are far worse off oxygen (whatever that may mean). We will keep you posted as soon as Sonnys results are in. Sonny is back to Melbourne on Thursday so hopefully we will have a few more answers then.
