Sonovue is a drug used to improve ultrasound imaging. The - TopicsExpress

Sonovue is a drug used to improve ultrasound imaging. The manufacturer states: SonoVue should not be administered to patients with known hypersensitivity to sulphur hexafluoride or to any of the components of SonoVue. Needless to say that my clients was not tested at all prior to the injection to know if she was hypersensitive to any of its components. What kind of medicine is that? The irony is that the ultrasound was to check if the chemo drug of one of my clients was not destroying her heart too much. Guess what, Sonovue is contraindicated for any cardiac condition. She may have one already as the result of the chemo. What kind of medicine is that?
